Adding Notes, Photos, and Selections in an Inspection

Learn how to complete inspection items by marking conditions, adding notes, uploading photos, and using inspection results in OCC.

Article Introduction

Inspection items are completed within a job in the Estimator under the Inspections tab. Each item allows you to mark its condition, add notes, and upload photos to document what you find during the inspection. Inspection results can also be saved, downloaded, emailed, or used in agreements and presentations.


What Inspection Items Allow You to Do

Inspection items help you capture and organize job conditions in a structured way.

You can:

  • Mark the condition of each item

  • Add notes for additional detail

  • Upload photos to document findings

  • Save, download, or email the inspection

  • Flag items for use in agreements or presentations


Marking Item Condition

Each inspection item must be marked to reflect its condition.

  • Select Satisfactory if the item is in good condition

  • Select Needs Attention if the item requires repair, replacement, or further review

These selections help organize your findings and can be used later in reports and proposals.


Adding Notes

Notes provide additional detail about each inspection item.

  • Click Notes Field

  • Enter Details such as condition, measurements, or observations

Use notes to clarify anything that may not be obvious from the selection alone.


Adding Photos

Photos help document the condition of each item.

  • Click Add Picture

  • Upload Image from your device

Saving, Downloading, and Emailing an Inspection

Inspection results can be shared or stored after completing your entries.

  • Click Save to store your progress

  • Click Download to export the inspection

  • Click Email Inspection to send the report

These options allow you to keep records and share findings with your team or customers.

Using Add All to Agreement and Add All to Presentation

These options allow you to quickly include inspection findings in your sales documents.

  • Select Add All to Agreement to include items in agreements

  • Select Add All to Presentation to include items in presentations

These are typically used when items marked as Needs Attention should be included in customer-facing documents.

Completing Inspection Items

To complete an inspection:

  • Select Condition for each item

  • Enter Notes where needed

  • Add Photos if applicable

Some items may require a selection before the inspection can be completed.
