Estimate Product Validations - Mandatory Selections

How Required Selections, Item Rules, and Visual Alerts Help Ensure Every Estimate Is Complete Before Saving

Validations are rules that make sure an estimate is complete before it can be saved.

Some products or line items require the user to make a mandatory selection. This could include choosing a product type, or the product's specifics such as color, size, material, glass type, or another product option.

When a required product selection is missing:

  • The line item turns red.
  • The user can see what still needs to be completed.

When validations have not been satisfied, the estimate cannot be saved. The system will highlight the exact missing spots.
