With the latest release, 2.31.0 (Released 6/4/2025), there is additional functionality for users to have access to view and edit job metadata.
What is it?
Metadata on a job is something which is created when a job is linked to one of the integrations configured on the organization. This functionality will allow users to be able to view that metadata (and update it if they have permissions) on each individual job.
It is important to note that only certain integrations are supported at this time and that not all fields will be present when viewing all jobs. Only fields which are related to enabled and valid integration will be available.
What integrations are supported?
As of June 5, 2025, the following integrations are supported:
- Salesforce: Lead
- Salesforce: Opportunity
- Salesforce: Custom (DaBella and a few other select customers)
- ImproveIt360 Classic
- ImproveIt360 Lightning
- LeadPerfection
- Marketsharp
- One Click CRM
Integrations which are NOT yet supported include:
- JobNimbus
- ServiceMinder
- Acculynx
- CompanyCam
Where is it?
This information is presented on the job's Information tab of the job. It will be in a section called “Integrations” as shown below:
Permissions Required and Overview
There are 2 new permissions which have been added which are required to be able to view and edit:
- job_metadata.read: Gives the user the ability to be able to see (read-only) the metadata fields which are available on the job.
- job_metadata.update: Gives the user the ability to be able to edit the metadata fields which are available on the job.
Note: To be able to update, the user will need to have BOTH job_metadata.read AND job_metadata.update in order to be able to update the information on the job.
Updating Metadata
Please note that updating metadata CAN lead to a situation where a job can be disconnected from (or connected to) a different job. It may create a situation where data loss may occur either in the form of data being overwritten in OCC OR data not being pulled in from the integration.
When updating data, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
