Frequently asked questions about job information integrated between Service Minder and OCC.
What information is required to have a job created in OCC?
In order for a job to be created in OCC, the following data elements must be completed:
- The user from ServiceMinder MUST be mapped to a user in OCC and their mapping must be active.
- Look for an appointment which is scheduled between 1 day ago through the current date. The appointment must also have a type which has been enabled on the integrations settings tab.
- The following data mapping is utilized to build / update the job in OCC:
- Customer Name: {contact.Name}
- Name: {contact.Name}
- Email: {contact.Email}
- Lead Source: {contact.LeadSource}
- Job Address:
- Line 1: {contact.Address1}
- Line 2: {contact.Address2}
- City: {contact.City}
- State: {contact.State}

Are there any options for other mappings for job creation?
No, there aren’t any options for data mappings or job creation.
When should an update in ServiceMinder be reflected in OCC?
Updates to jobs are pulled every 15 minutes. The job runs at 3, 18, 33, and 48 minutes after the hour.
What happens if a Contact Inquiry is deleted in ServiceMinder?
The information created in OCC would be orphaned and unlinked between ServiceMinder and OCC. There is no update to reflect that in OCC and no updates will be pulled to a job(s) in OCC.
What happens if an Appointment is deleted in ServiceMinder?
Much like if a contact is deleted in ServiceMinder, NO update for appointment(s) will be pulled to a job(s) in OCC.
Do updates in OCC push back to ServiceMinder?
No, there are no updates which are made in OCC pushed back to ServiceMinder.
Can I make status changes in OCC and have them show up in ServiceMinder?
No, there are no updates which are made in OCC pushed back to ServiceMinder.
What happens when I change the assigned user on the Appointment in ServiceMinder?
Assuming the appointment is scheduled either 1 day ago through the current date it should be picked up on the 15 minute synchronization timeframe. Please note the SAME rules still exist where there must be a user linked between OCC and ServiceMinder AND it must be active.
Note: Remember that the “most recent” appointment’s assigned user is what is utilized for the job’s assigned user.
