Understanding Estimate Templates
Learn how estimate templates work in One Click Contractor and how they help standardize estimate structure for consistency and efficiency.
Article Introduction
Estimate templates allow you to reuse a standard set of line items when building estimates in One Click Contractor. Templates help save time and ensure consistency by starting from a predefined structure instead of building each estimate from scratch.
What Are Estimate Templates?
Estimate templates are reusable estimates that represent predefined project packages, including all line items, labor, and costs associated with a specific type of job.
Examples include:
- Bathroom renovation
- Roof replacement
- Window installation package
Within a template, line items are organized into groups (tabs) such as roofing, windows, or other categories based on the structure of the job.

- Reduce repetitive work
- Ensure consistency
- Prevent missing line items
- Build structured packages that can be adjusted, discounted, or expanded
- Present estimates consistently to clients
Additional Notes
-
Templates can be created in different ways:
- By building an estimate and saving it as a template
- Through onboarding or support using CSV imports
- Templates can be saved into folders, and you can create as many templates as needed based on how your business is structured.
-
Templates are not tied to a specific customer and can be reused across multiple estimates.
