Why Can’t I Complete My Inspection?

Understand why you may be unable to complete or save an inspection and what steps to take.

Article Introduction

Inspections must be completed within a job in the Estimator before they can be saved and used in reports or proposals. If something is missing, the inspection cannot be completed or saved.

You may notice that Save button does not respond or cannot be clicked


Why this happens

This usually means that one or more required items in the inspection have not been completed.

This can include:

  • Missing condition selection (Satisfactory or Needs Attention)

  • Required fields not filled out

The system requires all required items to be completed before allowing the inspection to be saved.


What to do

Step 1

Review all inspection items and look for anything that has not been completed.

Step 2

  • Select Satisfactory or Select Needs Attention for any missing items

  • Enter Notes or Add Photos if required

Step 3

  • Click Save again


Important Notes

Required fields may vary depending on how your inspection templates are configured.

Users cannot bypass required items.
