Why Doesn’t the Markup or Discount Match the Estimate Total?

A markup or discount may be selected for the entire estimate, but that does not always mean the adjustment is calculated using every product in the estimate.

Some products may be configured as non-markupable or non-discountable. When this happens, the estimate total includes those products, but the system excludes them when calculating the applicable markup or discount.

What is a non-markupable product?

A non-markupable product is included in the estimate but does not receive the markup applied to eligible products.

A non-discountable product is included in the estimate but does not receive the discount applied to eligible products.

This behavior cannot always be changed cleanly. Available alternatives depend on how the products and Price List are configured.
