Zapier Overview for OCC Users

This article explains the recently expanded integration with Zapier and common use cases.

What is Zapier?

Zapier is a cloud-based automation tool that allows users to connect and automate workflows between thousands of apps—without writing code.

For OneClick Contractor (OCC) users, Zapier can help automate tasks between OCC and CRMs, spreadsheets, invoicing systems, and more.

How Does Zapier Work?

Zapier uses Zaps, which are workflows composed of two core elements:

- Trigger: The event that starts the workflow (e.g., Job Created in OCC)

- Action: The task Zapier performs after the trigger (e.g., Add a row to Google Sheets)

Formula: Zap = Trigger + Action

Is There a Cost?

Zapier offers both free and paid plans. Pricing depends on:

- Number and complexity of Zaps

- Apps used (some like QuickBooks Online require Premium)

- Monthly task volume

Demo Examples (as seen in Lunch & Learn)

- OCC → Google Sheets (Trigger: Job Created, Action: Add Row)

- Hubspot → OCC (Trigger: New Contact, Action: Create Job)

Other Use Cases

Zapier’s capabilities are nearly limitless depending on connected apps. Examples include:

- Pushing job data to Hatch

- Creating QuickBooks Online invoices for signed jobs

- Syncing contacts with Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.

OCC does not build custom Zaps for users.
